AFRICA - MASAI MARA

In May 2016, Simen and Mads went to interior Kenya, specifically the Masai Mara. "SEE NRK SUMMER OPEN - SKY HUNTERS IN AFRICA" The trip lasted eight days, where the boys met lions, hyenas, cheetahs, elephants and other animals known from The Lion King. The days were mostly spent getting up early in the morning and then setting out on a walk in the savannah. Videos from the trip appear on the websites carry out the fall.

The world-accustomed Mads usually started singing songs every time we saw new animal species. Two of the evenings he was also very frightened when lightning and thunder suddenly struck around the tents. Mad's favorite animal is a lion, a male lion!

Simen found out during the trip that he would like to settle down by a river where giraffes came to drink. Around the river there were also vultures, lions and the dreaded snake "Black Mamba". Sim's favorite animal is zebra.

After the expedition, we work with lectures around the trip. We take the trip into our usual lecture setting and extract the most interesting from the trip. The lecture deals with encounters with lions, the Masai people and how Simen and Mads reacted to go to Africa itself.

The crew:

In order for the expedition to be safe and to be able to be filmed, Simen and Mads depended on having a crew consisting of two helpers.

Lars Martin

was expedition leader and prime mover. His tasks included translating what the English-speaking guides said, organizing and financing the entire expedition.

Kristoffer Svarstad Wiig

had as his main task to be a cameraman. Kristoffer's other task was to support Mads with medicine and provide security when lightning and thunder were on.
